How it works:

1. Introductory Meeting - The introductory meeting is so important for Bethany to understand your fitness history, current running regiment, point point your injuries or pain points, and to learn more about your goals. After signing up, a link will be sent to you for you to schedule your introductory meeting.

2.Personalized Training Plan - After the introductory meeting, Bethany will create a personalized training plan with your body, goals, schedule, and fitness level in mind. This all-inclusive tailored training plan includes your personalized running training plan, cross-training plan, and recovery plan together in one easy to follow guide. This training plan is shared with you through the Final Surge app for easy training! Final Surge will also push your running workouts to Garmin and Apple products for easy runs!

3.Weekly Check-Ins - We will use 15 minute weekly check-ins via Google Meets to assess progress on the previous week’s training and discuss how your body is feeling. If needed, we will discuss modifying the plan for the week ahead to better assist your body in reaching your goals! The weekly check-ins are the basis of this ever-evolving personalized plan.

During the time of your membership, you will be prescribed certain yoga and myofascial release classes for cross-training and recovery; however, you will be able to take any classes you like and will have access to the entire The Runner’s Studio library of classes.

I discovered yoga when looking for something to help my tight legs during my first half-marathon training. I quickly fell in love with fast paced vinyasa style classes before fully understanding the benefits other types of yoga can have on athlete’s bodies/minds.

After experiencing an injury just days before my first half-marathon, the idea of using yoga for more than just cross-training really intrigued me.
